I am almost done with this silly cold so since I’m not tasting bourbon yet at this point, I think this is the right time for another giveaway.
Every year during the Kentucky Bourbon Festival, I go to the Master Distiller’s Auction in the Oscar Getz Museum. It is usually a fun time and I try to save a couple hundred dollars out of my “Kentucky bourbon budget” for the event just in case there is something that gets overlooked.
Clark Jewelers in Bardstown and Elizabethtown, KY has a product that they call Bourbon on Ice. It is a line of jewelry that uses both brown and white diamonds to create really nice looking pieces. My wife has had her eye on one for just about as long as we’ve been going to Kentucky. Well, this year, there was an Oscar Getz gift basket in the auction that contained some Oscar Getz Museum glasses and shot glasses, a copy of Whiskey: An American Pictorial History by Oscar Getz, and a Bourbon on Ice diamond necklace.
Somehow I knew that my wife would be bidding on this basket. I doubted that she would get it, but I knew that she would help the museum by driving up the price for whoever did. But then a strange thing happened. Only one other person bid on the basket and that person just thought the basket was cute and didn’t realize that the necklace was in there and didn’t really try too hard. So my wife got a basket of things that we already had and a diamond necklace from the line that she had been pining over for years.
Obviously she is going to keep the necklace, but what to do with all the other items? Well, as you probably guessed from the title, I’m going to give it away to a lucky reader. All I’m asking is that you answer one question to enter because I need a little help.
I have been asked to attend a local liquor store event for the upcoming release of MGP’s Remus Volstead Reserve. During the event I was asked by the liquor store owner if I would ask a few questions of MGP Master Blender Dave Whitmer who will be the evening’s guest. She suggested it might make good content for the site and I agreed. So, I would like to know what you want me to ask. MGP does a great job blending their various bourbons together to make amazing products.
Giveaway
You can enter the giveaway using the form below. You may enter once per day. There will be one winner chosen at random. That winner will get the book, the shot glass and the ornament shown in the photo above. The glass and ornament are new. The book has a bit of wear on the dust jacket but the inside seems to be in excellent shape. All I’m asking in return is that you ask a question for MGP Master Blender Dave Whitmer.
Good Luck! You have until Tuesday, November 5th, 2019 to enter (you need to "log-in" so I can receive your email address to notify you if you win, either log-in method gets me that).
